La plantation du muscari
C’est une étape très importante car, si elle est bien faite, elle améliore la floraison de la plante.
La meilleure période pour planter le muscari est à l’automne. Pour cela, nous vous conseillons de les disposer en groupe afin de former de belles taches de couleurs.
Il est possible de varier les expositions de vos fleurs pour avoir des floraisons étalées. Néanmoins, préférez les situations ensoleillées ou partiellement ombragées.
Le muscari se plante à une profondeur équivalente à 3 fois celle de son bulbe. Il résiste à des températures très basses ainsi qu’à la neige.
À savoir : si vous laissez les fleurs en place, celles-ci se ressèmeront spontanément.
Le muscari en pot
La culture de ce bulbe en pot est tout à fait possible ! Pour cela, suivez les mêmes instructions de plantation que pour des bulbes à planter en terre mais remplissez le pot avec du terreau pour plantes fleuries.
Une fois que la floraison est terminée, laissez les bulbes dans leur pot et veillez à couper le feuillage seulement une fois fané.
L’entretien du muscari
Cette plante à bulbe ne réclame pas d’entretien particulier. Si vous le cultivez en pot, pensez tout de même à l’arroser dès que la terre est sèche en surface.
Nous vous donnons cependant quelques gestes pour vous permettre d’avoir une sublime floraison durable au fil des ans :
- Coupez les feuilles seulement lorsque celles-ci sont entièrement fanées
- Divisez les bulbes tous les 3 à 4 ans afin que la plante puisse se régénérer
- Petit plus ! Un amendement à l’automne permettra de rendre la floraison plus dense et plus abondante
À savoir :
Cette plante se caractérise par de belles petites fleurs de couleur bleue, former en clochette. Elle est parfaite en massif, en bordure, en plate-bande ou encore en rocaille.
Le muscari forme également un sublime tapis coloré lorsque vous les plantez en nombre. Pour cela, planter une dizaine de bulbes au même endroit afin de créer ce sublime effet.
Selon les espèces et les variétés, le muscari peut mesurer entre 20 et 60 cm de haut. Mais les plus courantes restent de taille moyenne.
On retrouve également du muscari en pot chez les fleuristes pour une utilisation en intérieur et cela dès l’hiver. Cependant, sachez qu’il est généralement forcé de fleurir plus tôt et qu’il est ainsi difficile de le planter par la suite.
Le petit plus !
En terre, il est inutile d’arroser le muscari, la plante n’en a pas besoin.
En revanche, en pot un arrosage est nécessaire dès que la terre est sèche en surface
